Hello residents and visitors! We have an update for you on the status of the Wildland fire in Matawatchan. The evacuation order remains in place until today at 3:00 pm. The fire status remains as “being held”, which is great news! Crews are still on scene for clean-up stage and will continue to monitor the area. Hey All!
Evening update for you on the status of the Wildland fire in Matawatchan. We have some great news to share, the fire is currently in the status of “being held” which means that the fire crews are moving to the clean-up stage of the burnt area. Crews will continue to work and to monitor the area over the coming days.
