Connectivity

Reliable internet and mobile service are essential for daily life, safety, and economic growth. This page brings those updates together and shows how to check the status at your address.

Updated: July 31, 2025.

What’s underway

  • Ontario Connects (Province of Ontario): The Province’s Accelerated High-Speed Internet Program (AHSIP) is investing nearly $4B to bring reliable high-speed internet to unserved and underserved areas, targeting province-wide connectivity by end of 2025. Residents can search an interactive provincial map to see project areas, construction status, and participating internet service providers.
  • EORN Cell Gap Project (Eastern Ontario): A $300M regional public-private partnership led by the Eastern Ontario Regional Network is constructing ~300+ new cellular sites and upgrading 300+ existing sites to expand coverage and capacity across Eastern Ontario, including Renfrew County.
