An Open-Air Burn Permit (Fire Permit) is required for all open-air burning (except campfires) within the Township of Greater Madawaska.

Permits must be applied for by the property owner.

No daytime burning is permitted between April 1st – October 31st.

Burning within the Township is regulated by the Burning By-Law

Apply for an Open-Air Burn Permit

The following fees apply to Open-Air Burn Permits:

  • $50 per year
  • $25 per month
  • $5 per day
  • $25 per year for a barrel or incinerator
