January 4, 2022 PUBLIC NOTICE

On January 3, 2022, the province announced returning to the modified version of Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen, effective Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. for at least 21 days (until January 26, 2022), subject to trends in public health and health system indicators.

As a result of this announcement the Township of Greater Madawaska has implemented the following proactive measures:

  • The Township Office will be open regular hours, however:
    • If you need to meet with a member of staff please call ahead, as meetings will occur by appointment only.
    • Residents are encouraged to make payments utilizing alternative options such as online banking, telephone banking, by mail, or by credit card on the Township website.
    • Face masks must be worn at all times inside the Township Office. Should you be unable to wear a mask, please call ahead and do not enter the Office building.
    • Road maintenance and snow removal will continue without interruption.
    • Transfer Stations will remain open. Please wear a mask when attending the sites. Tipping fees will continue to be collected.
    • The Greater Madawaska Fire Department will continue to respond to all emergency calls.
