  • 2027 MUNICIPAL BUDGET: HAVE YOUR SAY
    Thank you to the 153 residents and community members who have already completed the 2027 Municipal Budget Survey. We appreciate this strong participation, and the feedback received will be important as Council considers the 2027 Budget.
    The survey remains open until September 27, 2026.
    Council recently endorsed the 2027 Budget Directive, which provides staff with a starting point for preparing the draft budget. It is based on maintaining current services, implementing existing financial and asset-management plans, and recognizing known cost pressures.
    No final tax increase has been approved.
    During the budget process, Council will consider:
    • Community feedback
    • Municipal service levels
    • Operating and capital budget adjustments
    • Infrastructure priorities and project timing
    • Affordability and impacts on taxpayers
    • Grants, reserves, Development Charges and other funding sources
    • Opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings
    Residents can review the Budget Directive report and presentation, watch the Council presentation, view the preliminary taxpayer impacts, and learn how municipal projects and debt are funded:

    If you know someone who does not have internet access or is unable to complete the survey online, please let them know that paper copies are available at the Township Office. Staff can also assist anyone who needs help completing the survey.
    Your feedback will help Council understand community priorities as it considers the choices required to develop the 2027 Municipal Budget.

    Elections Ontario has compiled a list of eligible voters for the upcoming Municipal Election using information from a variety of data sources. If your information was not included in those sources, you may not appear on the voter list.
    If you would like to confirm that you are on the list, please contact the Township Office.
    Please note that, as of August 14, 2026, any changes to your voter information for the 2026 Municipal Election must be made through the Township Office, not Elections Ontario.

    The Township of Greater Madawaska is beginning the process of developing the 2027 Municipal Budget — and we want to hear from you! 

    The municipal budget helps determine how Township resources are allocated to the services, programs, infrastructure, and priorities that matter most to our community.
