Community Improvement Plan

The Township of Greater Madawaska has officially adopted its Community Improvement Plan (CIP) through By-law 23-2026. The Plan designates the entire Township as a Community Improvement Project Area and creates a framework for financial incentive programs that support housing, business revitalization, tourism, accessibility, sustainability, and community investment.

The Community Improvement Plan is intended to encourage private-sector and community investment across Greater Madawaska. It supports local priorities including attainable and affordable housing, business growth, redevelopment of underused properties, tourism development, accessibility improvements, and environmental sustainability. The Plan also aligns with the Township’s Grow Greater Together vision and supports partnerships with the County of Renfrew’s HYPE program.
