Celebrating Canada Day in Greater Madawaska is always a great time!

Start off with Canada Day Celebrations on Saturday June 28 at 12pm-4pm, at the Matawatchan Hall, 1677 Frontenac Road, Matawatchan.

On Tuesday July 1, take part in the 5K & 1K FunRun in Matawatchan at 8am, at the Matawatchan Hall, 1677 Frontenac Road, Matawatchan.

The Township of Greater Madawaska would like to inform residents that Mayor Rob Weir will be taking some personal time to focus on his health.

During this time, Deputy Mayor Taylor Popkie will assume the responsibilities of Mayor to ensure continued leadership, support for municipal operations, and progress on key community initiatives.

The qualifications are as follows:
➢ You are graduating from either RCI, St. Joseph's High School or Opeongo High School;
➢ You are entering the workforce into a new or current place of employment; or you will be entering into a skilled trade apprenticeship or continuing education program; or you will be attending post secondary education;
➢ Your family are currently DACA members or associate DACA members in good.
