GM Local Social – Bites, Brews & Business 

After the incredible success of the 2025 Greater Madawaska Business Showcase, we are excited to bring the event back in 2026 — with a new name, new fun, and the same great goal: supporting local businesses, building connections, and bringing our community together.

Welcome to the GM Local Social – Bites, Brews & Business, a celebration of the businesses, people, and community spirit that make Greater Madawaska such a special place.

• Saturday, June 20, 2026
• Dan O’Neill Arena - 574 Mill Street Calabogie 

This year’s event will feature:

• Local businesses and vendors showcasing their products and services
• Food trucks serving up great eats
• Craft breweries on site (licensed event)
• Live music and entertainment
• Raffles featuring prizes donated by local businesses
• Food Bank on site accepting community donations

Admission is FREE, and businesses can participate as vendors at no cost, making this a truly community-driven event.

Last year we welcomed over 35 businesses, and this year we are looking to grow even more — inviting both returning participants and new businesses to join us for a day of networking, promotion, and community celebration.

This event continues to grow each year, and our long-term vision is to build it into a signature Greater Madawaska experience — where local businesses, food, brews, music, and community come together in one vibrant celebration.

Whether you’re looking to support local businesses, discover new services, enjoy great food and drinks, or simply spend a fun afternoon in the community, the GM Local Social is the place to be.

PLEASE NOTE: The Dan O'Neill Arena in Calabogie is CLOSED today March 16, but will reopen Tuesday March 17.

Ice Surfaces Closed Due to Warm Weather 

Due to the warm temperatures the ice surfaces in the Dan O'Neill Arena and the Griffith Rink are currently closed until further notice.

We will update as as the conditions change.

So far, 37 residents have shared their thoughts on the draft Community Improvement Plan — and the feedback has been thoughtful, constructive, and appreciated.

Brew Ha-Ha Social Hour – Hosted by the Greater Madawaska Public Library

Join us on Thursdays from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 12629 Lanark Rd, Calabogie, ON K0J 1H0.

We’ve teamed up with the Greater Madawaska Library to provide a warm, welcoming space where you can relax, enjoy coffee or tea, and connect with others.

No registration required!

Free Candidate Information Sessions will be April 23 & 24, 2026 with in-person and virtual options.

Key speaker is Nigel Bellchamber who will review his experience in municipal government and provide what you need to know if you're interested in running for Council.
