Now Hiring: Summer Student Positions

The Township is currently accepting applications for Summer Student positions for the upcoming season. These positions are ideal for students looking to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the community.

Available Positions

• Public Works Labourer (2 positions)
  Assist with general maintenance, road work, and operational tasks within the Public Works Department.

• Park Maintenance Labourer (1 position)
  Responsible for maintaining municipal parks and facilities, including groundskeeping and general upkeep.

• Administrative / Recreation Assistant (1 position)
  Provide administrative support and assist with recreation programming, events, and customer service.

Eligibilty Requirements: All summer student applicants must meet the following requirements on the first day of employment with the Township of Greater Madawaska.

• You must be 16 years of age to 30 years of age (with the exception of the Facilities Grounds Labourer which can be a minimum of 15 years of age)
• You must be enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary program
• You must be returning to a secondary or post-secondary program on a full-time basis in the fall of 2025.
• You must have a minimum of a class 'G2' licence and present a clean drivers abstract (with the exception of the Facilities Ground Labourer if only 15 years of age)
• A satisfactory Criminal Reference Check is required prior to commencement of employment for applicants that are 18 years and older.
