Libby App
Going digital? Download free eBooks, emagazines and audiobooks from the Ontario Library Service OverDrive system through Overdrive's Libby App. Use your library membership card to access thousands of ebooks, audio books, and 3000+ digital magazines. Check out Overdrive's blog post "14 tips to get the most out of Libby app" (2020) to learn more about this tool.
You can download books to your desktop, laptop or mobile device.
Overdrive eBooks are not compatible with Kindle in Canada.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We are integrating OverDrive with our Insignia Library System on August 8, 2025. At this time, you will no longer require a 5-digit login to access OverDrive through Libby app (no extra zeroes required). The system will prompt you to remove and re-enter your card number. Enter the number shown on your library card.
