Decks
Decks built in the Township of Greater Madawaska are required to have building permits if the following occur:
- larger than 108 sq. ft. (10 sq. m.)
- attached to a dwelling / structure or free standing.
Deck must meet all the setback requirements in our Zoning By-Law

- Guard, Post, Beam, Footing and Ledger Board
- Deck Elevations and Details.
- Deck railing if applicable (railing required over two (2) feet off ground)
