Pay with: Cash, Cheque/Post-dated cheque, money order or debit.
No credit card payments can be accepted in office.
Paying Property Taxes
The Township of Greater Madawaska offers a number of ways to pay your property taxes; in person, at your bank, by mail, and online.
We accept the following methods of payment:
- Cash
- Cheque/Post dated cheque (payable to the Township of Greater Madawaska)
- Money Order
- Debit
- Credit Card (1.75% fee is charged for credit card payments)
Payment Options
Review each option and chose the one best for you.
Set the Township up as a payee by searching “Greater Madawaska” and selecting Greater Madawaska, Twp of (taxes).
Your account number is the full roll number found on your tax bill. Do not use spaces or punctuation ex.4706006012345000000
To pay your taxes using a credit card complete and submit the Pay Your Property Taxes online form.
Payments made using this method will be subject to a 1.75% credit card fee.
You can pay your taxes through the mail. Post-dated cheques are accepted. Keep the due date in mind when post-dating to avoid late fee interest charges.

Pre-authorized Payment Plan
A pre-authorized payment plan can help you avoid missing your property tax payment deadline by automatically withdrawing from your bank account. The pre-authorize payment plan is monthly, with installments withdrawn on the 15th day of each month.
Please complete and submit the online Pre-Authorized Debit Agreement form, including a void cheque or a bank pre-authorization form.
