Join the Recreation and Culture Committee for a Clean-up Day in Calabogie, Saturday April 20, 2024, 9:00am-11:00am.

Bring your reusable mug for some FREE COFFEE!

We'll be meeting at the Calabogie Community Hall, 574 Mill Street, Calabogie.

We'll be walking and talking OR driving and chatting while picking up litter.

Let's unite for a cleaner, greener community!

Fire Ban Lifted

Greater Madawaska's Fire Department has lifted the Level 1 Fire ban, effective as of 12pm today, Friday April 12th.  While the Fire Ban has been temporarily lifted, a permit from the Township or its authorized agent, is required year-round, for open-air burning, not for campfires following burn-bylaw restrictions. FoodCycler Units still Available for Purchase

We still have FOODCYCLERS available for purchase!!

We ONLY have a few of the FC30 (smaller size) units available for $150.00 plus tax for Township residents and $250.00 plus tax for non-residents.

Garbage bags will be available at teh following locations:

Griffith - Ginza Rink - 15 Ginza Street

Calabogie - Community Hall - 574 Mill Street

Dacre - DACA Centre - 111 Flat Road

Bags of litter may be dropped off in the bins at each of the above locations or to have full bags picked up along Municipally Maintained Roads, leave a message for staff at 613-752-2249

Short-Term Accommodations (STA) Revised By-law Survey

The recent community engagement survey and public meetings provided Council with an opportunity to better understand the community's needs from the perspective of STA operators, neighbours, and general residents.

Indicators related to the growth of STAs in comparison to household numbers highlight the necessity of monitoring and collecting data for further analysis of community impacts.
