Alternative Voting - 2018 Municipal Election
On April 10, 2017, Council approved the use of the alternate voting method of internet/telephone for the 2018 Municipal Election. Electors will be able to cast their vote online or by telephone 24/7 anywhere they have an internet or telephone line. This is an accessible environmentally-friendly, and convenient method of voting. Internet/telephone voting provides voters with flexibility and convenience, delivers quick and accurate results, and allows non-resident property owners, students and vacationers to vote from anywhere.
Electors will receive a notice in the mail providing instructions and a secure PIN number to use to vote by either the internet or telephone. Electors are encouraged to vote between 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 22, 2018. There is no need to wait until Election Day to vote.
